The College Music Society South Central Regional Conference held on the University
of Arkansas - Fort Smith campus will include a free concert March 7 featuring 奥门开彩开奖结果
faculty and students.
The 7:30 p.m. concert in Breedlove Auditorium, which is free and open to the public, will feature the 奥门开彩开奖结果 Symphonic Band, Chorale and the Percussion Ensemble, as well as faculty members Dr. David Carter of Tulsa on clarinet, Dr. Matthew Vangjel of Fort Smith on trumpet and Virginia Hudson of Fayetteville on flute. The musicians will be performing compositions by CMS composers, including Charles L. Booker Jr. of Fort Smith, 奥门开彩开奖结果 associate professor of music.
Dr. Alexandra Zacharella of Fort Smith, director of bands and associate professor of low brass at 奥门开彩开奖结果, is serving as organizer of the March 7-8 conference. Zacharella is a member of The College Music Society (CMS) and serves on the national board of CMS as the co-chair for International Initiatives Committee.

The College Music Society promotes music teaching and learning, musical creativity and expression, research and dialogue, and diversity and interdisciplinary interaction. A consortium of college, conservatory, university, and independent musicians and scholars interested in all disciplines of music, the Society provides leadership and serves as an agent of change by addressing concerns facing music in higher education.
